Wild About You CD & Book launch at "The Tote", Collingwood, Friday the 14th of May to honour legendary songs and names from the Aussie Garage/Psych/R&B of the 60's. Once again the underground cult songs of The Tol-Puddle Martyrs and Peter & the Silhouettes were included in an impressive line-up of Aussie Cult Classics.
The Kamikaze Trio truly captured the feel & buzz of the Peter & the Silhouettes 1966 garage-punk rocker "Claudette Jones" retaining the biting fuzz, pounding drums and snotty vocals. Pink Stainless Tail invited Peter on stage to close their set, joining "The Tails" in their wild rendition of The Tol-Puddle Martyrs moody, psychedelic drenched hit "Time Will Come"..... a moment appreciated by the large crowd and enjoyed by the original Martyr.
Pink Stainless Tail, along with countless people on the night, openly expressed their belief in the importance of The Tol-Puddle Martyrs single, "Time Will Come"/ "Social Cell" and its place in Australian Rock History as the first Aussie songs to capture the mood of angst and protest.
